The passion for cheering the Korean national team has increased since the match against Greece in the World Cup Top 16s.

Roughly 150 Koreans, most of whom were students, were gathered to support the Korean national team against Argentina on Thursday at 7:30 in the morning.

The crowd was more geared up for cheering than they were during the Greece match on the 12th. Especially, most of the students were wearing Red Devil T-shirts and hair bands, and some had even stretched a huge Korean national flag across their bodies.

They groaned when Argentina scored 2 goals, but supported the Korean team with an encouraging cheer, “It’s ok, It’s ok.” When Chung Lyong Lee score, the crowd went wild.

However, when Argentina scored another point, the crowd sighed, and when they added yet another point, the crowd sunk into a mournful malaise.

“I still thank the Korean national team. ” said BU student Chang min Chung.
”The players did their best but couldn’t show their real talent.” said Seung Hwan Park, a Bunker Hill College student. They also added they will be cheering on the Korean national team in the match against Nigeria.
